My stay at the hotel was a mix of comfort and challenges. The rooms were cozy and well-appointed, but not having a window was a downside. Despite this, Josh made efforts to accommodate us. However, the lack of surfaces and hooks for organizing belongings due to the wallpaper was inconvenient. The service was a bit frustrating due to a snowstorm delay and unhelpful interactions, but some staff members were friendly. The location was convenient for exploring the historic downtown and train station, although the distance from the Denver airport was a drawback. The dining options were limited and not to my taste, mainly sugary items. Despite these drawbacks, the hotel had its charms.

I had a mixed experience at the hotel. The rooms were comfortable and quiet, but the light from the transom disturbed my sleep. The breakfast included was not up to the standard of what we had booked.

Service can be friendly but lacks prompt acknowledgment of guests. Dining options are limited and may not suit all tastes, with mostly sweet items. Value for money is fair overall.

7.0/10

I had a pleasant stay at the hotel, enjoying the quiet of the room despite the lack of windows. The staff was mostly friendly, with one exception. The location was perfect for exploring downtown Durango, and the amenities were satisfactory, although the rooms were uncomfortably warm.

Rooms
7.0
The room was well appointed with Victorian furniture, TV, coffee, full bath, and amenities. The lack of windows didn't bother me as I appreciated the quiet atmosphere. However, it was unduly warm throughout my stay even with the heating off and the fan running. Remember to prop the door open as there is no way back in without going to the lobby outside.
Service
8.0
The service was overall great, except for one receptionist who seemed unwelcoming. The rest of the staff were friendly and helpful, offering to assist with the remote control and carrying our bags to the room. The courtesy coffee and hot chocolate chip cookies were a nice touch.
Location
9.0
The hotel's location was perfect, just a short distance from the river path, shopping areas, and the train station, making it convenient to explore Durango. Being close to the Durango-Silverton Narrow Gauge Train station was a definite highlight, allowing for easy access to the scenic train ride into the mountains.
Dining
5.0
The dining experience was simple and somewhat lacking, with sparse offerings that didn't meet the standard of a B&B. Despite being good for a motel, it fell short of expectations. Italian products were available but the overall quality was patchy.
Facilities
6.0
The facilities were basic, with a modest dining setup.
